PERAMAL  cuaca ruang angkasa meyakini bahwa  lubang koronal yang telah dibuka di matahari adalah peledakan angin matahari ke arah Bumi.

Ketika lubang koronal terbuka di atmosfer matahari, ia melepaskan partikel-partikel matahari ke dalam angkasa.

Sayangnya untuk planet kita, Bumi berada dalam garis langsung dengan dua lubang besar ini.

Ketika partikel matahari menghantam atmosfer Bumi, mereka memiliki potensi untuk menyebabkan aurora borealis atau aurora australis – Cahaya Utara dan Selatan, masing-masing.

Menurut situs web Space Weather, badai matahari kemungkinan akan melanda pada 3 November.

Situs web itu menyatakan bahwa peramal mengatakan ada kemungkinan 45 persen badai geomagnetik G1 kelas kecil pada 3 November ketika aliran angin matahari diperkirakan akan menghantam medan magnet Bumi.
